My Favourite Authors

Tessa Bailey – My introductory author to rom-coms. You will see most – if not all – book reviews of her books on my page. She never fails to meet my expectations when selling a book because of the guaranteed ends with a cheesy ending with extra cheese on top. Perfection!

Ana Huang – The Queen of Billionaire Romance. Ana Huang promises spice, money and all types of different billionaires. Make sure to check out the ‘Twisted Series’ and read on from there. Her newest ‘King of Sins´ series has seven books, three which have stolen my heart with the fourth releasing on in 2024. Safe to say that if Ana Huang writes a book, it’s on my TBR and pre-order list before it even hits the market.

Lauren Asher – A fairly new author to my palette but definitely up there with Ana Huang in the billionaire books department. The ‘Dreamland Billionaire’ series was a great start and a major hit all over BookTok. The three-part series took over every book outlet with the last instalment taking my heart by storm. The next ‘Lakeside Billionaires’ series has just begun – it’s safe to say I love it more already.

Hannah Grace‘Icebreaker’ was a spontaneous purchase (not normal for me) which did not disappoint. With my TBR lacking in Hockey Romances, Hannah Grace hit the spot with her newest release ‘Wildfire’ making headlines for days. The much-anticipated release ‘Daydream’ is said to hit market in late 2024, marking TBR’s all over the globe.

Elena Armas – Said to be majored in Engineering however I have to disagree – respectfully – by saying she majored (if not invented) slow-burn reads. The Spanish Love Deception featuring Aaron and Lina was such a hit that it’s coming to the big screens. Elena Armas pledges slow-burn love stories with snarky comments and happily ever afters.

Danielle Lori – From Nico Russo, to Ronan Markovic, Danielle Lori blessed our book shelves with the likes of Christian Allister and made us jealous of fictional men. Lori introduced me to the mafia, made men tropes and since then I never looked back.

H.D. Carlton – The creator of Zade Meadows and his world Z. The Cat & Mouse Duo (Haunting & Hunting Adeline) took the dark side of book world by a storm and it did not disappoint. Coming in with a lot of disclaimers, H.D. Carlton definitely knows how to create a world with a lot of thrill, morally questionable men and a lot of twisted romance.

Somme Sketcher – The Visconti brothers and their girls. Sinners Anonymous was the perfect introductions to the Mafia/Made Men books consisting of the 3 Visconti brothers alongside their   leading ladies; Angelo (Rory), Raphael (Penny) and Gabe (Wren). Sketcher writes nothing short of spicy, heart-warming and age gaps. Dammit I’m a sucker for the age-gap trope. Get’s me every single time.

Bad Little Bride – Meagan Brandy

(5/5 stars. The MMC is called Enzo. Exactly) You know, I’ve read about a couple of men called Enzo throughout my time, but none has hit the spot just like Enzo Fikile. Oh. My. God. Meagan didn’t enter 2025 to joke around. She came to serve, and serve she did. This is book number 2 in the Girls of Greyson series. The one prior is Tempting Little Thief , starring Bastian Bishop and Rocklin Revenaw, aka Boston Revenaw’s twin sister, AKA Enzo’s wife! Did we forget about Enzo? We can never do such a crime. Now, we don’t lie on this page, and I’m not going to start today. Unless my poor eyesight read something wrong – highly likely – I was under the misconception that this was a fantasy book. I don’t read stories set in fantasy worlds where wings, fangs, and, most importantly, weird bodily fluids other than blood and something else are explored. I opened this book with one eye, and that eye stayed closed until chapter 2. Then I was all in on Enzo and Boston’s glory. The story st...

The Made Series - Danielle Lori

Not this time. In true Vivian fashion, I'm going to make you read this post to find out what I loved the most. It's about elegance. Okay so hear me out, Nico Russo and Angelo Visconti are the same men but in different fonts……and I can’t live in my fictional world without them? Does that make sense? I don’t know. Either way let’s just say if there was a book by Danielle Lori collaborated with Somme Sketcher, I’m there. Nico Russo, Christian Allister and Ronan Markov were written by none other than Danielle Lori herself. Mmm-mmm-mmm. Let’s see how my little pathetic vanilla heart got on with these dark rom-coms. This series was a small step up from the dark romance radar when compared to Somme Sketcher’s series. Was it just as thrilling? Yes. Did I read it more than once? Most definitely. Do I envy every female character in both series day in and day out? Until my very last breath. Let’s dive into these 3 wonders. The Sweetest Oblivion staring Elena Abelli and Nico Russo....

Twisted Lies - Ana Huang

(The MMC is called Christian, you tell me the rating) Christian Harper and Stella Alonso aka butterfly. This had that thriller element to it which I so needed. A story featuring stalkers, thriller, betrayal, and love. Spice too, if you’re interested… We have a billionaire tech-genius with an aspiring designer and fashion blogger. It doesn’t get much more gold than that. Remember Harper Security? Well, there’s a whole book on it now. Stella works for a fashion magazine and gets fired from it after attending an event. That event was for Delamonte, whose brand she becomes the face of. Christian Harper owns the apartment complex where Stella and Jules live. In Twisted Hate we see how they basically get it for free because the rent isn’t even rent, especially for a place like that. The only reason he drops it is for Stella, and we find out why later. Well, once Jules leaves to live with Josh, he lets Stella stay at reduced rent on the condition that she waters his plants. This ...
