Twisted Lies - Ana Huang

(The MMC is called Christian, you tell me the rating) Christian Harper and Stella Alonso aka butterfly. This had that thriller element to it which I so needed. A story featuring stalkers, thriller, betrayal, and love. Spice too, if you’re interested… We have a billionaire tech-genius with an aspiring designer and fashion blogger. It doesn’t get much more gold than that. Remember Harper Security? Well, there’s a whole book on it now. Stella works for a fashion magazine and gets fired from it after attending an event. That event was for Delamonte, whose brand she becomes the face of. Christian Harper owns the apartment complex where Stella and Jules live. In Twisted Hate we see how they basically get it for free because the rent isn’t even rent, especially for a place like that. The only reason he drops it is for Stella, and we find out why later. Well, once Jules leaves to live with Josh, he lets Stella stay at reduced rent on the condition that she waters his plants. This ...

Twisted Hate - Ana Huang

(Would Jules give anything to you easily? Exactly. The rating is in the review....) I shall be as honest as one can be; I was not itching to read this at all, but God, am I glad I did. Josh Chen and Jules Ambrose, aka best friend’s sister, enemies with benefits, and enemies to lovers. Lawyer x Doctor. It has it all. In this book, we have Josh Chen, doctor in the making, and Jules Ambrose, aka Red, who’s a lawyer in the making. I didn’t know what to make of Jules in Twisted Love. I thought she was a bit too in-your-face, over the top, and bratty. She’s not. Trust me. “Where did you get your coat from? Barney’s R Us?” – I died! Okay. I’m getting sidetracked. These two dislike each other, and it all stemmed from when Jules overheard Josh telling Ava to stop being friends with her. Jules is an outgoing, spontaneous spitfire who likes to live her life to the best. Josh isn’t too far off with his one-night stands, add a responsible and protective brother to Ava in the mix, especially...

Twisted Games - Ana Huang

(Read the review. Thank you) “Be careful, Mr. Larson, or I’ll think you’ll actually like me.” Stop. Just stop it because Rhys isn’t real, Eldora does not exist, and I’m not a Bridget von Ascheberg.  Ana Huang said this was inspired by The Princess Diaries , and she wasn’t lying. It so was, but 100x better. The nickname here is simply "princess," which is suitable and fitting.  Where do I even begin? We have Bridget, who’s 10 years younger than Rhys, her bodyguard. Bridget left Eldora to study abroad and get a sense of normality. From partying to volunteering at the animal shelter, she tries her best. After losing her parents at a young age, she’s the closest to her brother, Nikolai, and her grandfather. Rhys Larsen, on the other hand, is an ex-Navy SEAL and works for Harper Security. Side Note: love Christian Harper. Any fictional character called Christian is usually a great sign. Anyways, back to Larsen. He's gruff and arrogant with black hair, a muscled frame, ...

Twisted Love - Ana Huang

I can't tell you the rating for a series. Read the review..... I read the Twisted series last year and then did a bulk post on it, but now I’m here to do separate ones because they deserve it. If there’s a series that deserves separate posts, then it’s this one.  The nickname is "sunshine." All of Ana’s books have nicknames, and Sunshine is a loved one. Not better than Mia Cara though but we aren’t at that series yet so just hold your horses. Or money in this case.  Unless you’ve been living under a book rock, you will know about the best-selling series written by none other than the billionaire queen herself, Ana Huang. I actually discovered this series through King of Wrath from the King of Sins series. But that doesn’t matter. What matters is that I read it and need to report back.  I have done a post on this before as a series wrap-up kind of post, so check that out if you need an overview of what the series is about and includes. In light of The Striker , w...
